Pro Stamp Impression Panel Specifications

PART 1 GENERAL:

SECTION INCLUDES

Pro Stamp impression panel products for site-cast concrete

  1. SUBMITTALS
    • Product Data: Manufacturer’s data sheets on each product to be used, including:
    • Foundation impression panel samples with manufacturer’s printed installation instructions, showing required preparation and installation procedures.
    • Storage and handling requirements and recommendations.
    • Installation methods.

Cleaning and maintenance instructions.

Shop Drawings: Submit shop drawings and panel elevations detailing the location of impression, including coursing, joint width, joint locations, panel sizes, coursing alignment details.

Verification Samples: For each finish impression panel product specified, submit two samples, minimum size 12 inches (305 mm) x 12 inches (305 mm), representing actual products, styles, patterns, and textures.

Warranty: Copy of manufacturer’s standard warranty.

DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING

Materials shall be delivered to the location in unopened factory containers. Upon arrival, materials shall be inspected for damage and manufacturer informed of any discrepancies. Deficient materials shall not be used.

Materials shall be stored in a protected location and safeguarded from damage in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommended storage instructions including, but not limited to the following:

Do not store in temperatures that exceed 145 degrees F (63 degrees C).

Do not store in temperatures below -5 degrees F (20.5 degrees C).

Do not store in direct sunlight.

Do not stack items on top of the packages.

PROJECT CONDITIONS

Conduct installation in accordance with manufacturer’s limits for ambient air temperature. Maintain conditions within acceptable range for at least 48 hours after the application of mortar.

Provide temporary protection as needed from precipitation, wind, airborne dust, and debris, and similar items.

COORDINATION / SCHEDULING

The work in this section requires close coordination with related specifications sections and trades. Sufficient labor and equipment shall be employed to ensure a continuous operation satisfactory to the architect.

EXTRA MATERIALS

At completion of project, deliver to Owner extra stock of materials used on project.

Store in location as directed by Owner. Ensure materials are boxed and identified by manufacturer, type and color.

PART 2 PRODUCTS

2.2 SINGLE-USE IMPRESSION PANEL: BRICK PATTERN

Description: 16” x 48” panels connect seamlessly. Irregular brick positioning. Leaves a hand-laid brick impression on exterior surface of poured concrete wall.

Brick Size: 2-1/4 inches x 7-5/8 inches (57.2 mm x 193.7 mm).

2.3 SINGLE-USE IMPRESSION PANEL: SPLIT FACED BLOCK PATTERN

Description: 16’ x 64” panels butt up to each other. Irregular block positioning. Leaves a split faced block impression on exterior surface of poured concrete wall.

2.4 MULTI-USE CORNERSTONE IMPRESSION PLATE

Description: Plate leaves an impression on exterior surface of poured concrete wall of year wall is built.

PART 3. EXECUTION

3.1 EXAMINATION

Prior to installation, examine form substrate for conditions including soundness, tightness of connections, crumbling or looseness of surfaces, and projections. Verify substrate is acceptable to authorities having jurisdiction prior to installation of the work of this section.

Report deviations from the requirements of project specifications or other conditions that might adversely affect the installation to the contractor. Do not start work until deviations are corrected.

3.2 INSTALLATION

Install in accordance with manufacturer’s written instructions as applicable to specified application.

Sealer / Dye / Stain: Apply only after concrete is completely cured

All exterior applications shall be sealed in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations.

3.3 CLEANING AND PROTECTION

Cleaning: Prior to substantial completion, as recommended by manufacturer. Do not begin cleaning until concrete is completely cured.

Thoroughly flush wall and area after cleaning

Clean adjacent materials and surfaces of all foreign materials resulting from the work of this section.

Protection: Prior to substantial completion, as recommended by manufacturer.

Protect impression area from water impinging on the visible surface, chinking, dust, dirt, precipitation, freezing, damage, spilled materials, and continuous high humidity until concrete is fully cured.
